The Beast Face: A Little Fierce, A Lot of Power

Today I want to share something really cool, one of my favorite jade carving themes: the beast face.

It might sound a bit scary, but I promise, it’s not! These carvings are bold and full of character, big eyes, sharp teeth, strong lines. Some look like lions, others like dragons… sometimes a little mix of both. And that’s what I love about them. They feel ancient, powerful, and protective.

Honestly, when I first saw beast face designs, I didn’t really “get” them. I was more into gentle, peaceful styles, such as flowers, animals, simple pendants.

But the more I saw, the more I started to feel their strength. Now, I see them as little guardians, like they’re quietly standing by my side, helping me feel brave and grounded when life gets messy.

Here’s one from my own collection, a beast face carved from blue Hetian jade.

it’s not perfect, but I love how alive it feels. Like it has its own spirit.
When I wear it, it gives me a little boost a quiet kind of strength.
