Amazing jade! Hard to believe it was from Qinghai. It is totally XinJiang mutton fat jade quality. It has very little discernible structure under focal lights, with the best type of tight and dense structure. It also has the best level of translucency that resembles mutton fat.
The design is also very unique. Although lotus flower is a common theme for jade carving, this piece is truly set apart! It has such a modernistic feel with geometric shape, using simple and sharply defined lines and angles to form the contour, coupled with beautiful carvings of the petals and the pistil (the center). It is rich in detail yet simple and elegant in shape and contour. The petals look so lively, bold and expressive! The seller paired with a very simple black cord, allowing added contrast to complete the quiet elegance that commands full attention, even when the pendant is worn alone without any other jewelry.

Beautiful white Jade in such a cute bow design! I bought a larger version of it in this store, which I really liked. Now I am getting this smaller one for my daughter, so we can have a matching mother daughter set. Beautiful white jade pendant with intricate classic Chinese theme! The natural brown color at the top of the jade was smarlty designed into a dark roof top, implying that the frame of the jade represents a house where the magpie and plum tree reside:-). The back side of the jade has made rough by manual work, resembling old style painted wall in rural Chinese houses. These echoed designs bring alive a beautiful Chinese themed scene with association of happiness in the background of a peaceful household / family under one roof.
